Emergency appendectomy barely slowed me down

Apologies, it’s been a week, starting with an attack of appendicitis Friday night while I was in the Sierra Nevada mountains of northeast California, and had to be flown out on Saturday by helicopter for an emergency appendectomy on Sunday morning.

Not only that, but I had signed up for a travel writing workshop starting today, August 14, which happens to be my birthday. So, two days after my operation, I had to drive 300 miles to Corte Madera, CA, for the workshop, which is where I am right now.

By now, you have probably guessed that I was not able to put together a blog for this week, but I expect to resume next week. So please check back next Thu afternoon.
